 Single Cruise

Below we have picked three Caribbean Cruise Ship destinations that provide the perfect combination of picturesque beaches, fun activities, and interesting history!

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands

St. Thomas has a fascinating history worth exploring. In the 18th century, it was the hub of the swashbuckling culture! Spend a morning learning about the history of pirates in the region at the Pirate Treasure Museum. After that, you can spend the remainder of your day relaxing and sunbathing on Magens Bay Beach, one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. And if you still have some energy there are plenty of activities you can try, such as snorkeling, kayaking or paddle boats.

St. Thomas is also known as the best place for shopping in the Caribbean. There are plenty of duty-free shops and the prices that do not include sales tax make it all the more exciting! The duty-free allowance is $1,600 per person so you may need to leave some extra room in your suitcase when packing! St. Thomas also has some excellent restaurants for the foodies among us. You can experiment with spicy local dishes like kallaloo, but also enjoy authentic Italian dishes, tasty burgers or fresh local fish. The food variety on the island is really impressive. Make sure to leave some extra space when packing so you pick up local spice mixes, hot sauces, and tropical jams to bring back to your friends and family!

Nassau, Bahamas

The Bahamas is the site of Columbus’s first landfall in the New World in 1492. The capital city Nassau is located on New Providence Island. It’s a very popular cruise port receiving over 3 million visitors yearly. This place has plenty to offer! Nassau is famous for its beautiful beaches, friendly locals, charming nature and rich history. You will also find many interesting sites and attractions on the island! We strongly recommend a visit downtown where you can wander around exploring pirate forts and rustic 17th and 18th-century colorful British Colonial buildings.  Once you have worked up at a sweat it’s time to head offshore and explore Nassau’s impressive coral reefs. Snorkeling and Diving are sublime in the Bahamas as are the beaches. The tropical fish and colorful corals are a match for white sandy beaches, beaming sun, and photogenic palms trees. Just make sure you have time to enjoy both!

When the sun sets Nassau nightlife comes alive. The city is home to cozy lounge bars, vibrant nightclubs, and some flashy local casinos all worth venturing into.

Kingstown, St. Vincent & The Grenadines

Saint Vincent & The Grenadines are a true paradise! This chain of thirty-two small islands out of which only nine are inhabited are home to stunning rainforest, idyllic beaches, and charming colonial towns.

Start off in Kingstown pass by the local fish market and head to the old town to check out the Caribbean rum shops and beautiful colonial churches. St. Mary’s Cathedral with its Gothic spires is a must visit! Fort Charlotte is also worth seeing providing some sublime views of the Grenadine islands. In the hills are the beautiful botanical gardens with a variety of tropical plants and different species of birds.

There are plenty of activities to do in around outside of the city. Trekking Volcanoes and kayaking through underwater caves are pleasurable activities. As in much of the Caribbean, the waters here are perfect for snorkeling and diving. The coral reef is very healthy, the water is crystal clear and marine life is rich.
